Mona
Multiple BIS, BISS,NAKC/UKC. Ch. Casa de Rancho's Mona is from our litter with Rancho and Stella. She was our pick from the litter of 9 born May 10, 2009. Her structure and movement are beautiful. She is happy, curious and intelligent.
We brought her out to show her at three months old. At 5 months old, she has already won 13 Best Puppy in Shows!
Mona was Top Puppy in North American Kennel Club
She began showing in the regular classes in March of 2010, and won an Adult Reserve Best in Show in Rhode Island.
With NAKC, she won her first Adult Best in Show in Middletown Ohio, May 29, 2010. She went on to win two Adult Best in Shows and two Reserve Best in Shows at the Battlefield Classic II on June 26-27!! Mona won a total of six Best in Shows and thirteen Reserve Best in Shows in the 2009-2010 show season. She was #4 Dog out of all breeds in NAKC for 2010. She was Master Supreme Champion of 2010!

Our last NAKC show was May 8, 2011 where Mona won 3 Best in Shows and a Reserve Best in Show in 6 shows. We decided to stop showing with NAKC because the turnout was so poor and it was not meaningful to win Best in Show when you are showing against a total of 15-30 dogs.
She started showing with UKC in May at the Maryland, Bel Air Show, on May 14 and 15 where she finished her Championship and won a Reserve Best in Show out of about 200 entries.
She went on to win Best of Breed in every show this summer and took group placements in almost every show. We competed against anywhere from 75 to 200 total dogs (all breeds) this summer. Mona competed in the following shows;
June 4 and 5- Westfield, Massachusetts
June 25 and 26- Westfield, Massachusetts
August 13 and 14- Marion, Massachusetts
September 10 and 11-Andover, Massachusetts
October 15 and 16- Somers, Connecticut
August 26 and 27, SWD Club, Inc. National Specialty
Mona wins Best in Specialty Show
Mona was number 1 SWD in UKC top ten for 2011 with 20 points! Top Ten points are based on winning Best of Breed against other dogs of the same breed. Mona never lost to another SWD that she competed against when competing in UKC in 2011.
